WEBINAR ON “E-WASTE MANAGEMENT”

Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies conducted a webinar on 24^th April 2021, addressing the critical issue of E-Waste Management.

The session was conducted by Ms. Rashmi Joshi. Ms. Joshi started her career as a faculty and has worked for several colleges across Mumbai. She was passionate about contributing to the environment which led her to quit her job and become a full-time consultant for environmental matters. Currently, she is an Environmental Consultant associated with several undergraduate and post-graduate colleges across Mumbai. She also extends her services to a few other cities within Maharashtra, such as Ratnagiri, Pen, etc.

Ms. Joshi introduced the students to the concept of e-waste and its impact on ecology. She gave them a glimpse of the current methodologies of e-waste management and their harmful effects on the environment and the human body. She explained the various initiatives from NGOs as well as Government bodies towards the management of e-waste.

Her session kindled students’ interest in knowing more about the issue and gain further knowledge. The session ended with a Q&A and vote of thanks.
