International Yoga day
International yoga day was celebrated by the all the staff members of MMBGIMS on 21stJune 2022 with great enthusiasm. Yoga was actually done by sages as a holistic approach to God. Later on, it was passed to the common people. The function began with a brief on the importance of Yoga Day by Dr. Vidya Hattangadi followed by an introduction of the guests, Ms. Vandana Khuman Certified Yoga trainer, and Mr. Pradeep Khumana fitness trainer.
Yoga helps everyone to understand how to maintain harmony between body and mind. Yoga trainer Ms. Vandana Khuman explained that practicing Yoga daily will help everyone achieve better mental and physical health. Ms. Vandana guided the members to perform a few warm-up exercises and simple Asana. All performed the asana enthusiastically as she also explained the importance of these simultaneously.
The event rejuvenated us and refreshed us both, physically, and mentally.
Yoga and meditation on a regular basis for a healthy body and mind should be mantra in today’s life.
