Induction Programme – Day 1
The induction program kicked off with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and the beautiful Maratha Mandir prayer. We started by welcoming all the new students to the institute. Professor Dr. Vidya Hattangadi gave an opening speech and introduced the team: faculty, and admin. Each faculty member stood up and greeted the students warmly
Librarian Ms. Alpana Chakravarty acquainted the students with the institute and its structure and functioning and code of conduct. Over 60 students were in attendance. Invitee Dr. Vishal Khedekar, Assistant Vice President at Bennett and Coleman (the Times Group) shared his experiences and talked about the importance of the MBA program and the skills students would acquire.
The students had a great time during the induction program, which ended with some fun dances and games, bringing everyone closer together.
Induction Day 2 – Movie (Ek Ruka Hua Faisla)
Day 2 of the induction program began with an introduction to the movie “Ek Ruka Hua Faisla.” The students were informed that they would learn important lessons from the movie, including the significance of critical thinking, the influence of persuasion, the importance of fairness and justice, and the value of unity despite differences.
During the movie screening, students enjoyed snacks and wafers. After the movie ended, they participated in a discussion where they were asked questions to gauge their understanding of the film’s themes.
In summary, “Ek Ruka Hua Faisla” provided valuable insights into human behaviour and various aspects of society. It was an enjoyable and thought-provoking experience for the students, reinforcing the importance of critical thinking and fairness in decision-making.
