Cultural Committee of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies (MMBGIMS) decided to go intercollegiate and began with the Food Fest ‘Master Chef’ on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. It was a gastronomic extravaganza that brought together culinary enthusiasts, students, and food lovers from various backgrounds. The event aimed to showcase the culinary skills of the participants, foster creativity in the kitchen, and provide a platform for cross-collegiate interactions.
There were 7 teams, each comprising four members. Each team was assigned a group number. The theme was Fireless Cooking and Vegetarian Snacks. The participants had to submit a copy of the recipe and the cost incurred. The competition was fierce as the teams faced off in a cooking challenge that required them to prepare a vegetarian dish within a specified time frame. The esteemed judge was Director Prof. Dr. Vidya Hattangadi who is herself a brilliant chef and an avid blogger. She provided valuable feedback to the participants, enhancing the learning experience for all involved. The evaluation parameters were Taste, Flavour, Presentation, Hygiene, Serving Size and Profit on Cost. The competition was intense, with all teams showcasing impressive culinary skills.
