Hindi Diwas 2023
Hindi Diwas was celebrated by the student development committee to preserve and promote our linguistic heritage . There were 80 students both from FYMMS and SYMMS.
ACTIVITY DETAILS
- The games were specifically designed to promote the use of Hindi Language in our day-to-day communication.
- The First Round – “Guess the Hindi Word for “- had 30 English words that form a part of our daily dialect. The students were divided in groups of 6 each and had to guess the Hindi Word.
- The Second Round – “English to Hindi Muhavre “consisted of Idioms and Phrases read out in English and students had to guess the Muhavres in Hindi.
- The Third Round – “ Pehcane Geet “- The lyrics of the songs were in English and the students had to guess the song and sing in Hindi.
ACTIVITY LEARNINGS
- The students realised that they had difficulty in translating the English words in Hindi as they were conveniently using Hinglish slang dialect most of the times while communicating.
- It urged the students to learn and appreciate the Hindi language and its cultural nuances, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and multiculturalism.
The winners were awarded with chocolates and the event concluded with three beautiful Hindi songs sunged by FYMMS and SYMMS students that filled the atmosphere with nostalgic moments remembering the great Hindi Singers.
A day to embrace the richness of Hindi and promote unity and inclusivity among all linguistic communities in India.
