The Cultural Committee of MMBGIMS, along with its students and faculty members, took a pledge on the 9th of August 2023 as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign. All students and faculty recited the Amrit Kaal Pledge led by our director, Prof. Dr. Vidya Hattangadi.
On the 15th of August 2023, MMBGIMS celebrated Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony done by honourable secretary Miss Sonam Gawde followed by the national anthem. The students had prepared a series of performances, including a skit, group dance, and singing, in which a total of 29 students participated. The participants were divided into different categories: 13 students represented the Finance department, 13 represented Marketing, and 7 represented HR.
The Finance students paid tribute to various legendary singers such as the late Lata Mangeshkar and late Mohammad Rafi, among other legendary singers. They expressed their tribute by performing renditions of these singers’ songs. The Marketing students presented a skit and also sang patriotic songs, showcasing their diverse talents. Meanwhile, the HR students delivered a captivating dance performance coupled with melodious singing.
Overall, the Independence Day celebration at MMBGIMS was a delightful amalgamation of performances that showcased the students’ talents and their love for the nation.
