Induction Training Programme for MMS Batch 2022-24
We welcomed the MMS Batch 2022-24 on Monday, November 21st, 2022. We gave them four days Induction training program. The objective of the induction training program is to let the students adapt to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution’s culture.
On 21st Prof. Shannon Chavan-Roque took a session on “MBA in the classroom and beyond” He explained how MBA/MMS program helps students in strengthening business fundamentals such as leadership, communication, business etiquette, critical thinking, and analytical skills. The MMS program enhances the student’s marketability as a professional and increases the quality and quantity of job opportunities. MMS opens doors to many opportunities.
On 22nd November the movie “Guru” was screened for the batch. Besides being inspirational, emotional, and meant for an intellectual audience, the post-movie discussion was held around how one would describe Guru. The movie has captured several dimensions; the amazing script which has a close parallel with industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani’s life, a strong inspiring storyline, characters that are close to real life and have shades of white, black as well as grey, cinematography that depicts a glorious era and is tremendously appealing, music that is worthy and finally conviction that even middle-class people can dream and make their dreams come true. Post-movie discussions were motivating.
On 23rd November business quiz based on current affairs was conducted. Quizzes always motivate to study harder when students know that their progress will be judged upon an exam/quiz, a performance review, etc. The faculties could gauge the academic strength of the class. The class played ‘Antakshari’ which helped the students to open up, and know each other. The class enjoyed it.
On 24th November Mr. YateenGharat – Certified Professional Facilitator conducted a Personal Interaction workshop for the senior and junior classes. He conducted a few games. Personal interaction is the foundation on which happy and conducive results are built. Mr. Gharat made use of some props for the icebreaking session. He played a few ice-breaking games in class. Good icebreakers are vital for any team or occupation. When done right, icebreakers can quickly build a sense of community, set the tone for the upcoming sessions and give participants ownership of the learning ahead. The class thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Gharat’s session. The session showed how the best icebreakers have the power to strengthen bonds with other classmates and stimulate a better atmosphere and create inclusivity.
The regular lectures began on 25th November 2022.
