The Student Development Cell of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies celebrated Matrubhasha Divas with students from diverse backgrounds and cultural traditions. With a total of 57 students from MMS Sem II in the class, they highlighted the significance of their mother tongues and cultural heritage. Representing Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Marwari, and numerous other backgrounds, these students shared their languages and customs by translating them into Hindi so that everyone could comprehend.
This intercultural exchange captivated the audience as each student presented their unique traditions. A “Tongue Twister” session followed, which brought immense delight to all attendees. A student hailing from a Maharashtrian background was challenged to recite a tongue twister in Gujarati, while a student from a Gujarati background tried one in Marathi, along with several other challenging phrases being performed. Overall, the event was brimming with amusement and pleasure for every participant.
