Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies organized a virtual MBTI Session on Saturday 17th July 2021 for the students of MMS Sem II.
Mr. Gharat is an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF), known for his outdoor adventure programs which he conducts for corporates.
Self-awareness is the first step to personal and professional growth. The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) instrument helps individuals understand their strengths, their preferred working styles, and ultimately helps them realize their potential. Insights from the official Myers-Briggs assessment can be used to develop understanding of differences in an organizational context or individually and provide clarity. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator helps create appreciation for communication styles and task approach between leaders, team members and colleagues – enabling them to work better together. The program was organised primarily to create an awareness of the underlying traits in each person (students) and to teach them the methodology of using the positive traits to their advantage and deal better with varied situations in life.
Mr. Gharat began the session with an introductory slide presentation and welcomed the students to the session. He explained the entire concept in a brief manner, and moved on to execution of the practical exercise for which an MBTI instrument form with 70 MCQs was shared with the students. The students were advised to print the questionnaire and tick off their choice of answers. Each of these questions were based on certain parameters which help in identifying specific traits of each person and forms the basis of overall scoring pattern which was explained in detail by Mr. Gharat.
The students enjoyed the session thoroughly.
