PLACEMENT REGISTRATION
The Placement Registration Process Report aims to provide an overview of the placement registration activities conducted by MMBGIMS during the current academic year 2022-2023. The placement process is an essential aspect of the institute’s commitment to assisting students in securing job opportunities aligned with their academic backgrounds and career aspirations.
The primary objective of the placement registration process is to facilitate seamless interactions between students and potential employers, ensuring maximum placement opportunities for the students and fulfilling the hiring requirements of companies.
PROCESS OVERVIEW
- Identification of Placement Officer: A dedicated placement officer is assigned to oversee the entire placement process.
- Collaboration with Companies: The placement cell establishes connections with various companies across different industries to invite them for campus placements.
- Placement Announcement: An official announcement is made to notify students about the upcoming placement activities, along with the list of participating companies.
- Eligibility Criteria: Clear eligibility criteria are set, and students are informed about the minimum academic requirements and other prerequisites for participation.
- Online Registration: Students interested in participating in the placement process register online, providing necessary details and uploading their resumes.
COMPANY PRESENTATIONS
- Pre-Placement Talks: Participating companies deliver pre-placement talks to introduce themselves, their work culture, job roles, and growth opportunities.
- Q&A Sessions: Students have the opportunity to interact with company representatives and clarify their doubts.
PLACEMENT DRIVES
- Written Tests: Companies conduct written tests to assess students’ technical and aptitude skills.
- Group Discussions: Students who clear the written tests engage in group discussions to evaluate their communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Personal Interviews: Shortlisted students from the previous rounds face personal interviews to gauge their suitability for specific roles

RESUME BUILDING
The Resume Building presents an analysis of the resume-building workshops conducted by MMBGIMS. The aim of these workshops was to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to create effective and professional resumes. A well-crafted resume plays a crucial role in presenting a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experiences to potential employers and significantly impacts their chances of securing job opportunities
The primary objective of the Resume Building Workshops was to empower students with the ability to develop tailored resumes that showcase their strengths, accomplishments, and potential in a clear and concise manner. The report evaluates the effectiveness of the workshops and identifies key takeaways for further improvement.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Essential Resume Components: The workshops covered the key elements of a well-structured resume, such as contact information, career objective, educational background, work experience, skills, and achievements.
Formatting Guidelines: Students were introduced to various resume formats and templates and guided on selecting the most suitable one for their career goals.
Tailoring for Specific Jobs: Emphasis was placed on customizing resumes for different job positions and industries to increase the chances of getting shortlisted.
Action-Oriented Language: Students were encouraged to use strong action verbs and quantifiable achievements to make their resumes more impactful.
Cover Letters: Brief insights into writing effective cover letters were provided, emphasizing the importance of personalization and alignment with job applications.
UNDERSTANDING INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS
Market Research: The resume-building team conducts research on the latest industry trends and employer preferences to tailor the workshop content accordingly.
Collaboration with HR Professionals: Insights are gathered from HR professionals and recruiters to understand what they seek in a well-crafted resume.

Day 2
About Yourself & Weakness and Strengths
Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies Placement Team Organised Boot Camp for a week from 24th July 2023 to 31st July 2023.
Day 2 session topic “About yourself and Strengths and Weaknesses” was conducted by the faculty Dr. Rajashri Shendge & Ms. Jessica Menezes. From 10.00 am to 12.15 pm. Total 47 students attended the session and actively participated. The following points were discussed.
- Knowing one self
- Preparing your profile -About Yourself
- Self-Introspection – Know your Strengths and Weaknesses.
- How to identify your challenge and convert it into a strength.
- Interview simulation was done in classroom and discussed the points of improvement.
Feedback: The session was informative and helpful to the students. Students could write and speak about their profile. They could also identify their strength and weaknesses.
Day 3
Social media profile building
The Placement Committee of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies organised a session on social media profile building. The session began by talking about social media and its importance in today’s world. Students were involved in a conversation about how to create strong social media profiles on platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook. Mr. Sabir Mujawar and Mr. Aakash Rebello explained to the students in simple terms how LinkedIn profiles work and why they are useful.
During the session, students were shown how to make their own LinkedIn accounts. Mr. Aakash Rebello and Mr. Sabir Mujawar, helped students add important information like their photo, education, and work experience. They talked about how getting recommendations from teachers, bosses, and co-workers can help show off a person’s skills and achievements. The idea of giving endorsements for each other’s skills was also discussed.
Students also learned how to mention their skills for each job or school experience. They found out that using the right words, or keywords, in their profiles can help them catch the eye of employers looking for specific talents. To wrap up, students were asked to follow the MMBGIMS LinkedIn Page and start building their own professional networks.
Day 4
INTERVIEW ETIQUETTES
Etiquettes are required for personal and professional commitments. Interview etiquette is important because it shows the interviewer that you are professional, respectful, and have good manners. It also gives you a chance to make a positive first impression, which can be crucial in landing the job.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
A PPT along with interactive session was delivered to students across all specialisation to make them interview ready and remove the fear of attending the interview.
Etiquettes of pre, during and post interview process was completely discussed.
The role of Haptics and Paralanguage, proper Dress Code and mannerism was explained.
WORKSHOP LEARNINGS
Key Learnings for students:
- A positive first impression, which can be crucial in landing the job.
- Dress appropriately -This means wearing professional attire that is appropriate for the company and the position you are interviewing for.
- Arrive on time -Punctuality shows that you are reliable and that you take the interview seriously.
- Be polite and respectful -This means using good manners, such as saying “please” and “thank you,” and being respectful of the interviewer’s time.
- Make eye contact -This shows that you are engaged in the conversation and that you are paying attention.
- Listen carefully -This shows that you are interested in what the interviewer is saying and that you are taking the interview seriously.
- Ask questions -This shows that you are interested in the company and the position, and that you have done your research.
- Thank the interviewer for their time- This is a simple way to show your appreciation for the opportunity to interview.
- Mock stress interview was conducted by Ms Sadiya to demonstrate how to give crisp answers.
- Students were shown proper stride of walk, pace while you enter the cabin for interview.
STUDENTS FEEDBACK
- The students had a lot of questions regarding the etiquettes to be observed for the interview process
- The three stages of pre, during, post interview techniques were noted by them and realised how even the pre and post interview behaviour has an impact.
- Selected students were asked to walk and enter the classroom again to show the stride, posture and eye contact.
Stress interview was conducted on one of the students to showcase how to handle the flow of the questions

Group Discussion
The Placement Committee of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies organized a Group Discussion. Led by Prof. Dr. Vidya Hattangadi, students participated in lively discussions on various current topics given by the Director. 50 students participated in the session. Groups of 5 students were made. The following topics were discussed:
