UNICEF DAY
The Student Development Cell of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies commemorated UNICEF Day, observed annually on December 11th to mark the establishment of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in 1946. The day emphasizes UNICEF’s dedication to advocating for children’s rights, providing humanitarian aid, and raising global awareness of child welfare issues.
As part of the event, students watched a thought-provoking video titled “A Letter from the World’s Children,” which highlighted the purpose of UNICEF and the challenges faced by children worldwide. Following the video, students prepared a report emphasizing UNICEF’s mission to raise awareness about children’s rights and inspire solutions to improve child welfare. The video aimed to encourage critical thinking among students and deepen their understanding of UNICEF’s vital role in shaping a better future for children. Total 4 students participated in commemorating UNICEF DAY.
