FDP conducted on 28th November 2020
Facilitator: Mr. Yateen Gharat, CPF, IAF Certified Professional Facilitator
Topic: “Myers Briggs for building Healthy Team”
The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behaviour is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgement.
In developing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator [instrument], the aim of Isabel Briggs Myers, and her mother, Katharine Briggs, was to make the insights of type theory accessible to individuals and groups. They addressed the two related goals in the developments and application of the MBTI instrument. Mr. Yateen Gharat conducted the test to find out each participant’s personality and behaviour based on the test. He gave useful tips on team building efforts.
Mr. Yateen Gharat is a certified IAF (International Association of Facilitators) and CPF (Certified Professional Forecaster) with an experience in OD and Change Management through outbound programs of over three decades.
The FDP was very useful from the learning and implementation point of view. The participants group included two other institute faculty member; GuruNanak Institute of Management Studies and Allana Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.
In a feedback all faculty at the end mentioned that they were not aware about their perceptions and personalities; it is so important to understand your own self and then understand others.
Director, Dr. Vidya Hattangadi proposed vote of thank to the Speaker as well as to the participants.
