Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies conducted a session on 20th April 2021 to guide students on Competitive Examinations.
The session was conducted by Shri. Arun Pawar, a veteran officer with 34 years of experience in the Indian Revenue Services. Mr. Pawar cleared his UPSC examinations in 1975 and belongs to the 1976 Civil Services batch. He joined the Income Tax department and served in roles like Income Tax Inspector and Assistant Income Tax Commissioner across various locations of the country. He retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Currently, he is the Executive President of Shivneri Academy, which helps students in preparing for various competitive exams.
Mr. Pawar addressed the students specifically on the government examinations such as UPSC and the Maharashtra specific, MPSC exams. He enlightened students on the various types of civil services apart from the popular ones like IAS and IPS. He also informed them about the readiness that students are supposed to have while appearing for such exams.
The session concluded with a Q&A round and vote of thanks.
