The Research Committee of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies (MMBGIMS) organized an insightful seminar on “How to Write a Research Paper” on 26th February 2026 in the Institute Seminar Hall. The session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical strategies for writing and publishing high-quality research papers.
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Vidya Hattangadi, an experienced academician and expert in research methodology. She guided students through the complete research writing process, covering topic selection, structuring of research papers, literature review, research methodology, data analysis, referencing techniques, and strategies for publishing in reputed journals.
Dr. Hattangadi also introduced participants to various research-support software tools for statistical analysis, reference management, and plagiarism detection, encouraging students to adopt digital tools to enhance research quality and academic integrity.
A total of 54 students actively participated in the session, which concluded with an engaging Q&A discussion addressing practical challenges such as sample size selection, responding to reviewers’ comments, and publishing in indexed journals.
The seminar was highly appreciated by students and significantly contributed to strengthening the research culture at MMBGIMS.
