MAGMA 2025: A Grand Celebration of Talent, Culture, and Innovation
Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies (MMBGIMS) is a reputed institute committed to academic excellence and holistic student development. Known for its emphasis on professional education and industry engagement, MMBGIMS provides students with a dynamic learning environment. The institute regularly organizes various academic and extracurricular activities to enhance students’ overall growth and exposure.
MAGMA 2025: An Intercollegiate Cultural Extravaganza
MAGMA, the annual intercollegiate cultural fest organized by the Cultural Committee of MMBGIMS, was successfully conducted from 25th January to 1st February 2025. This prestigious event attracted participation from 57 colleges across Mumbai, with an average daily footfall of 200 to 250 students and a total of 402 participants. The fest featured 157 entries for external games and 170 for internal events, highlighting its growing prominence and student engagement.
The event showcased a diverse array of games and activities, catering to the varied interests and talents of participants. Spanning across an entire week, it provided a platform where students not only hosted the events but also actively participated, demonstrating their skills and enthusiasm.

- January 25th, 2025: Box Cricket , Chess, Photography, Meme – Intra College
- January 27th2025: Box Cricket , Chess, Photography, Meme, Quiz – Inter College
- January 28th2025: Rangoli , Mahendi – Intra college
- January 28th2025 : Tug of War, Carrom, IPL, LAN Game, Rangoli , Mahendi – Inter college
- January 29th2025: Ad Mad, Rink Football, Antakshri, Rapping, Beat Boxing – Inter College
- January 30th2025 : Rink Football, Carrom , IPL, LAN Game – Intra College
- February 1st 2025: Fashion Show and Dance – Inter & Intra College
The event provided students with an excellent platform to showcase their talents, engage in healthy competition, and foster cultural and social interactions. Additionally, the introduction of “Vid Ai,” an AI-driven mascot on wheels developed by students, added an innovative dimension, engaging with the audience in real-time and symbolizing the institute’s commitment to technological advancement.
The Bank of Maharashtra extended its support to MAGMA as the Title Sponsor, contributing ₹35,000 to the event. This generous sponsorship played a pivotal role in the smooth execution of the fest, enhancing the overall experience for participants. The collaboration between MMBGIMS and the Bank of Maharashtra underscores the importance of corporate support in promoting student-centric activities and fostering a culture of excellence beyond academics.
The sponsors list continued as Sonam Finvest Services Pvt Ltd sponsored ADMAD as well as graciously judged the event too. Twin City Technologies, Raj Kamal Jewellers, Shabnam Zaveri and MZ Exports.
To honor outstanding performances, winners and runners-up across various competitions were awarded cash prizes, medals, and certificates in recognition of their talent and dedication.
Our event was honoured by the presence of following prominent personalities – Mrs Vandana Gawde, Ms Sonam Gawde,Mr Rajendra Ghag, Mr Vinayak Ghag ,Mr Shivaji Rao Bhosle, Mr Deepak Deshmukh and Mr Aashish Chandak.

A major highlight was the charismatic hosting by Gaurav Nagrani, a second-year MMS student, who took on the avatar of “Rooh Baba”, captivating the audience with his engaging presence and energy.
Special Recognitions:
Best College Trophy: Awarded to Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce and Economics for achieving the highest points across multiple events.
Maximum Participation Trophy: Secured by Vidya Vikas College for their enthusiastic and widespread participation throughout the fest.
MAGMA 2025 was a perfect blend of competition, creativity, and celebration, offering students a remarkable platform to excel beyond academics. The event’s overwhelming success reinforced MMBGIMS’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and building a vibrant student community.
