Swachhta Pakhwada Week 2024
Day 1: Community Service Unit of MMBGIMS organised Swachhta Pakhwada Week from September 23rd September 2024 – Tuesday1st October 2024 for MMS SEM-I and III Students. Director Prof. Dr. Vidya Hattangadi, faculties along with students participated by taking a pledge to be committed towards cleanliness and devote time to Swachh Bharat. Total 96 students participated in taking the pledge.
Day 2: Swachhta Pakhwada Awareness Day was celebrated on 24th September 2024. Students had to take a Quiz session. The Theme of the Quiz was Swabhav Swachhta -Sanskar Swachhta by the government of India. It was shared by Dr. Shilpa Shinde. The objective was to create awareness of a clean and healthy environment for all, focusing on both rural and urban India. All students and staff who participated received a digital certificate from Government of India for the Quiz. Total 94 students participated in this activity.
Day 3: Swachhta Pakhwada Day 3 Handwash Day was celebrated on 25th September 2024. A presentation on the importance of handwashing and using hand sanitizers was given by faculty Mr. Aakash Rebello. A demonstration of the correct way to wash hands was given to the students. Total 90 students participated in Handwash Day
Day 4: Swachhta Pakhwada Day 4 was Best Out of Waste. This session was by faculty Mr. Sabir Mujawar and Ms. Sadiya Fuggawala. There was vibrant participation from groups in a Best Out of Waste. This activity served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to eliminate waste and promote a healthier, more sustainable future for nation Total 79 students participated in this event.
Day 5: Swachhta Pakhwada Day 5 Personal Hygiene Day was celebrated on 27th September 2024. A presentation on the importance of Personal Health care and Hygiene was given by faculty Dr. Jessica Fernandes and Ms. Pratiksha Karambe. Total 89 students participated in Personal Hygiene Day
Day 6: Swachhta Pakhwada Day 6 Reel Making was celebrated on 30th September 2024. The primary objective of the initiative is to create an environmental awareness and responsibility among the college community and society Students prepared reels and shared with the faculty and the same was showcased to students in class. Mr. Aakash Rebello, Mr. Santosh Datkhile and Ms. Namrata Uppal conducted this session. Total 99 students attended the session.
Day 7: Swachhta Pakhwada Day 7 was a rally from Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies to Mumbai Central Station. The objective was to keep spread awareness of keeping our vicinity clean and stay healthy. Total 84 students and staff participated in the Rally.
