The Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Divas celebration was organized by the Students Development Cell (SDC) on 27th February 2026 in the Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of renowned Marathi poet V. V. Shirwadkar, popularly known as Kusumagraj, and to highlight the importance of the Marathi language.
The event began with a brief introduction explaining the significance of the day. Faculty members addressed the students and shared valuable insights about the history, richness, and cultural importance of Marathi as our mother tongue. They emphasized the need to preserve and promote the Marathi language in daily life.
A total of 22 students and 5 faculty members attended the programme. Students enthusiastically participated by singing Marathi poems and presenting poetic recitations. Their performances reflected respect, pride, and love for the language. The Seminar Hall was filled with cultural spirit and positive energy throughout the programme.
The celebration concluded with a motivating message encouraging everyone to continue promoting Marathi language and literature. The event was a meaningful tribute to Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Divas.
