The Finance Club at Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies hosted a guest session titled “The Indian Financial Market – An Untapped Powerhouse” on 19th September 2025 in Classroom 206/207.
Mr. Sanjeev Bajaj, General Manager — Partnership & Marketing, NISM, was the keynote speaker and provided expert industry insights. Ninety-six students attended, engaging actively throughout the presentation and Q&A.
Mr. Bajaj outlined the evolution and structural framework of India’s financial markets and their role in economic growth. He highlighted the roles of regulators like SEBI and institutions such as NISM in promoting transparency and ethics.
The session covered career paths in investment banking, securities markets, and financial advisory services. Emerging trends, including fintech, digital securities, financial literacy, and ethical investing, were discussed.A lively Q&A allowed students to seek practical advice on investment strategies and career planning.
The event was introduced by Mr. Abbas Dudhwala and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Anas Ansari. Organised by the Finance Club, the session inspired students to pursue proactive engagement with India’s dynamic finance sector.
