Alumni Meet

Alumni Committee of MMBGIMS organized Alumni Reunion 2017 to reconnect with former students and strengthen the relationship between alumni and the institute. Students from different academic years were invited to participate in the reunion programme organized at the college campus.

The event served as a platform for alumni to revisit their memories, interact with faculty members, meet their batchmates, and share their professional experiences with current students and fellow alumni. The reunion created an opportunity to enhance alumni engagement and encourage active participation in institutional development activities.

Faculty members welcomed the alumni and appreciated their continued association with the institution. Alumni members actively participated in interaction sessions and shared their career journeys, industry experiences, and suggestions for academic improvement and student development.

The programme included alumni interaction sessions, networking activities, informal discussions, and group photographs. Alumni expressed happiness in visiting the campus again and reconnecting with their teachers and friends.

The institution received positive feedback from the alumni participants and looks forward to conducting similar alumni engagement activities regularly in the future.

The Alumni Meet of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies was organized on 13th July 2019 at Peninsula Redpine Hotel. The event was conducted as an informal gathering with the objective of reconnecting with alumni and strengthening their bond with the institute.

Alumni from MMS and PGDM batches ranging from 2000 to 2015 attended the meet enthusiastically. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by the Director, who appreciated the continued association and support of the alumni towards the institution. A total of 70 alumni participated in the event.

During the interaction session, alumni shared their professional experiences, corporate journeys, and insights on handling challenges in the corporate world. They also expressed nostalgic memories of their college life, faculty members, classmates, and the valuable experiences gained during their years at BGIMS.

The gathering brought together alumni from diverse professional backgrounds and industries, creating an enriching experience for both students and faculty members. The achievements and professional growth of the alumni served as a source of inspiration and motivation for the current students.

The Alumni Meet held on April 11, 2026, was a memorable and enriching event that brought together alumni from various batches and MMS Semester IV students. It served as a platform to reconnect former students with the institution while fostering interaction, learning, and professional networking. The presence of alumni created an atmosphere of inspiration, nostalgia, and knowledge sharing.

Objectives

The main objectives of the event were to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the institution, facilitate interaction between alumni and current students, encourage professional networking, and provide students with real-world insights into career paths and industry expectations.

Event Overview

The event began with the registration of alumni, followed by a formal inauguration that included the lighting of the lamp and a welcome address, setting a positive tone for the program. The session was anchored by MMS Semester IV students, and the Director addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of alumni engagement. 

A key highlight was the interactive session conducted by the corporate anchor, which included engaging activities and games that encouraged participation from both alumni and students. These activities created a lively environment and helped in building connections. The open mic session was another important segment, where alumni shared their college experiences, professional journeys, challenges, and achievements. Students actively participated by asking questions and engaging in discussions.

Engagement and Interaction

The event witnessed active participation and meaningful interaction between alumni and students. A total of 13 alumni from batches ranging from 2002 to 2024 attended, representing diverse industries and professions. Students gained practical insights into career opportunities, industry expectations, and professional growth. The interaction extended beyond formal sessions into informal networking and discussions.

The event concluded with a networking session, vote of thanks, group photograph, and lunch, which further encouraged informal interaction and bonding.
