Thanksgiving Day 2025 – Event Report
Organized by Community Service Unit, MMBGIMS
The Community Service Unit of MMBGIMS celebrated Thanksgiving Day 2025 on 28th November with the objective of promoting gratitude, emotional sensitivity, and social responsibility among students. As part of the initiative, students designed handmade “Thank You Cards” and visited various public service locations across the Mumbai Central area to appreciate frontline workers.
The students began first from Thanking the Director, Dean , office staff and nonteaching staff with lovely greeting card.
Students were divided into seven groups and accompanied by the following faculty members:
Dr. Jessica Fernandes, Mr. Manvendra Thakur, Ms. Pratiksha Karambe, Dr. Sadiya Fuggawala, Mr. Aakash Rebello, Dr. Pranav Indulkar, and Dr. Santosh Dathkile.
The groups visited Mumbai Central Railway Station, Urban POD, Bank of Maharashtra, Choice Corner, Jagjeevan Ram Hospital, Agripada & Nagpada Police Stations, Nair Hospital, Kshitij Foundation, Post Office, College Canteen, and the Mumbai Central Fire Brigade. Students interacted with staff members at each location, thanked them for their continuous service, and presented personalized cards.

- Faculty-led coordination ensuring smooth execution
Learning Outcomes:
Students strengthened their empathy, gratitude awareness, communication skills, teamwork, and understanding of civic duty. They expressed great enthusiasm and positive feedback for this meaningful community experience.
Conclusion:
Thanksgiving Day 2025 was a heartfelt and impactful outreach initiative that fostered gratitude, community bonding, and social awareness among MMBGIMS students, guided effectively by the Community Service Unit faculty.
