Guest Session on Internships and Practical Learning
(Finlatics: Experience to Upskill)
On 28th January 2026, the Student Development Cell & Placement Committee of MMBGIMS hosted a special session with experts from Finlatics to help students understand the importance of real-world experience. The event witnessed a strong turnout of 60 students from MMS and BMS batch. The primary objective of the session was to encourage students to move beyond textbooks and develop practical skills through internships and hands-on training.
The session was led by Mr. Nisant Mohta (Founder, Finlatics) and Ms. Aarti Desai (Business Associate, Finlatics), who introduced the “OJT + SIP” programme covering Finance, Business, and Research. They emphasised learning through real projects, using industry tools, and gaining insights under expert mentorship. An interactive “Shark Tank”–style activity allowed students to evaluate real business cases, encouraging critical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
Students found the session highly insightful, gaining a clearer understanding of business risks, market dynamics, and the impact of global events on financial decisions. The programme concluded with a strong message that practical exposure and internships are essential for career readiness, leaving students more confident and better prepared for the future.
