The Alumni Committee of MMBGIMS organised the first session of the Alumni Series – “Ignite Sparks: Leadership Connect” for MMS Semester I and Semester III students across all specialisations. The series comprised two sessions aimed at providing students with practical insights into professional life, career development and opportunities through interaction with experienced alumni.
The first session, “The Degree Was Just the Beginning,” was conducted on Saturday, 3rd October 2026, from 9:10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. and featured Dr. Pranav Indulkar, Ph.D. alumnus, and Ms. Kanchan Kedari, MMS alumna. The session focused on the professional journey beyond academic qualifications and provided students with insights into the importance of continuous learning, skill development, and professional growth.
The second session, “Navigating Careers in Banking,” was conducted on Saturday, 3rd October 2026, from 10:50 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and featured Mr. Amol Kale, MMS 2008–2010 batch alumnus. The session provided students with practical insights into career opportunities and professional growth in the banking sector, helping them understand possible career pathways and industry expectations.
A total of 45 students participated in both sessions. The sessions provided an effective platform for students to interact with alumni, gain practical perspectives from their professional journeys, and understand the relevance of management education in building successful careers.
Learning Outcomes
Students gained practical insights into career opportunities, professional growth, and the importance of continuous learning beyond academic qualifications. They also developed a better understanding of professional expectations and career planning through alumni experiences.
Feedback
The sessions provided students with an opportunity to interact with alumni and gain insights based on their professional experiences. The alumni interactions helped students connect their academic journey with practical career considerations.
Conclusion
The Alumni Series – “Ignite Sparks: Leadership Connect” provided a meaningful platform for interaction between MMBGIMS students and alumni. The sessions highlighted the importance of moving beyond academic qualifications and developing the knowledge, skills and professional outlook required for career growth.
The initiative also strengthened the connection between the institute and its alumni and provided students with practical exposure to professional experiences and career opportunities.
