World Nature Conservation Day 2024
The Green Club Committee of MMBGIMS organized a tree-planting activity to commemorate World Nature Conservation Day. The primary objective was to instill environmental consciousness among students and encourage active participation in conservation efforts.
About the Event
A tree-planting activity was initiated on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day. Students actively participated in clearing the planting area of debris. Subsequently, students were divided into groups of five, with one member designated as the planting expert. Under the guidance of Mr. Aakash Rebello, Head of the Green Club Committee, and with the support of Dr. Jessica Fernandes, Mr. Santosh Datkhile and Ms. Pratiksha Karambe, the groups prepared the soil, planted seeds, and watered the saplings. The event culminated in a group photograph, capturing the enthusiasm of the participants.
Learning: Students gained an understanding of the importance of nature and the process of planting a seed.
