StockTorero – Tame the Bull

Our Finance specialization students Reshma Nair And Ankita Dhanesha had participated in this competition. It was a trading competition organized by Bombay Stock Exchange Institute on 01^st December 2017. It was a modular which aims to showcase trading of various financial instruments in Indian Capital Market. It had 2 Asset Classes – Equity Shares and 91 days Government of India Treasure Bill. Among the large number of participants Reshma Nair And Ankita Dhanesha both were selected through telephonic round conducted by Bombay Stock Exchange Institute at first level.

The competition participants were from premier Business Management and Post Graduation Institutions spread across India. The trading session were conducted on the basis of Intra-day.

There were 21 college participated in this competition and each college team had two members to represent. The competiton was based on “FasTrade” screen-based trading and include both bank and depository settlement. The trading was done from 9.15 to 3.15.

We had to trade according to market fluctuation and showing the news in the screen. We had to decide swiftly on share trading with full concentrate about fluctuation because that exchange rate fluctuation was change after every 6 second .CNBC they have created a studio like setup. There was 20 Company in the screen and provide 20.00.000 cash as liquid to us and we have to buy only in between 20.00.000 not more than that and we have to earn profit too. At the end of day when market gets closed at 3.15 so we have to square off all the shares and which ever college team had earned more profit that was declared as a winner. Every participant was honored with participant certificate and a Bull.
