The Community Service Unit of Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies celebrated Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Swachh Pakhwada week 2022) from Wednesday, 28th September 2022 to 3rd October 2022.
The objective of this event was to celebrate ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ week as a part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission, to take up Hygiene initiatives, mobilize people and reinforce the mass movement for cleanliness to contribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India.
Following was the activity planned for Students, Teaching, Non-Teaching, and Canteen

Day 1: 28th September 2022
The Students and Staff took the SwachhataShapath (pledge) following which 5 groups were formed and students made posters on creating awareness of cleanliness. They were then placed at different locations to spread awareness.
Day 2: 29th September 2022
Dr. Rajashri Shendge spoke about the importance of personal hygiene. NIINE Pvt. Ltd, Delhi provided Sanitary Napkins as a part of CSR activity and created awareness, and promoted Personal Hygiene for Swachh Pakhwada week 2022.
Day 3-Day 5: 30th September to 3rd October 2022
The teaching, non-teaching, and canteen staff took the initiative of having a green campus. Everyone contributed to cleaning their respective work areas and ensuring cleanliness in the staffroom, director’s cabin, office, reception, library, computer labs, canteen, and the surrounding area.
Learning- This event developed a sense of responsibility to contribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India.
Feedback-The students, teaching and non-teaching, and canteen staff had a wonderful time contributing to keeping our environment clean and meeting the objective of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
