Maratha Mandir’s Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies participated in the United Nations initiative of “Decade on Ecosystem Restoration”. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Environment Consultant to the Institute.
Ms Joshi handed over ten saplings that were placed across the Institute and were a mix of indoor and outdoor plants
The campaign is a UN initiative that will run from 2021 to 2030 and aims at facilitating restoration of ecosystem as well as extend efforts towards battling major environmental challenges like, climate change, food security, water supply, etc.
The Director addressed all staff members on the importance of making the planet more sustainable by ensuring we plant more trees. The Director and all faculty members thanked Ms Joshi for the initiative and committed to contribute further to the cause by ensuring adoption of green practices.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by our Director, Dr. Vidya Hattangadi.
