Introduction
A Management Development Programme (MDP) on Research Methodology was conducted for officers and professionals to enhance their understanding of research techniques and their application in administrative and policy-related work. The programme was organized by Regional Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES), Mumbai, and hosted at the Andheri office of All India Institute of Local Self-Government.
The programme was held on 9 October 2025 at 10:30 AM- 4.30 PM. The main objective of the session was to provide participants with a basic understanding of research methodology and the importance of systematic research in decision-making and policy development.
During the programme, the session covered key topics such as introduction to research methodology, identification of research problems, research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and basic data analysis. The discussion also emphasized the role of research-based evidence in improving urban governance and administrative efficiency.
